The Dairy Flat Community Trust was established in 1993 as part of the Redvale Landfill and Energy Park consent agreement. It provides funding to support local organisations, schools, sports clubs, students, and community projects in Dairy Flat.
The Dairy Flat Community Trust was established in partnership with WM New Zealand to support local initiatives. Funded by an annual contribution indexed to CPI, the Trust has reinvested over $1 million into schools, sports clubs, and community projects.
Funding is available to individuals, schools, and community groups based within the designated Dairy Flat funding boundary. Projects must contribute to at least one of the following areas: education, community well-being, or environmental sustainability.
Applying for a grant is simple:
Check that your project falls within the funding boundary.
Complete the application form with details about your initiative.
Submit your application before the deadline here.
All applications are reviewed by the Dairy Flat Community Trust committee. Selection is based on project eligibility, alignment with the Trust’s funding priorities, and the potential impact on the local community.
The Trust has supported a wide range of projects, including:
Education: Funding for new learning spaces and school resources.
Community Well-being: Grants for local sports clubs, events, and recreational facilities.
Environmental Sustainability: Support for tree planting, conservation efforts, and sustainability programs.
The amount of funding varies annually depending on revenue from the Redvale Landfill. The Trust allocates funds based on the number and quality of applications received.
Projects must benefit the Dairy Flat community and fall within our designated funding boundary. If you're unsure, you can review our funding guidelines or contact us for clarification.
Applicants will be notified of the outcome within a set timeframe after the application deadline. Successful applicants will receive further instructions regarding the grant distribution process.
