Recognising the impact of landfill operations on the surrounding area, it was agreed that a portion of the revenue generated would be reinvested into the community. This commitment led to the creation of the Trust, ensuring that local residents directly benefit from these funds.

Since its establishment, the Trust has played a crucial role in supporting Dairy Flat’s development, providing financial assistance to projects that enrich the community. From the outset, our focus has been on funding initiatives that enhance education, sustainability, and community well-being. Over the years, we have proudly distributed more than $1 million in grants, benefiting local schools, sports clubs, environmental projects, and various community groups.

One of our proudest milestones was the funding of enhanced learning environments at Dairy Flat School, ensuring that children in our community have access to modern and engaging educational spaces. We have also supported sports clubs by providing grants for uniforms and equipment, fostering a strong sense of community spirit and encouraging healthy lifestyles. In addition, we have backed environmental initiatives, such as native tree planting and sustainability programmes, to protect and enhance the local ecosystem.

As we look to the future, the Dairy Flat Community Trust remains committed to its founding principles. We continue to evolve alongside the community, responding to emerging needs and opportunities.
